Accessibility Statement
We want GlobiMail to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or magnification. We are a small team, so this is a direction of travel rather than a finished state.
What We Aim For
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA for our public website, aligning with the standards referenced in the Americans with Disabilities Act and similar legislation. We use automated testing (axe-core) and manual keyboard-navigation checks.
What We Have Done
- Colour and contrast reviewed across all public pages to meet AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text)
- Text alternatives provided for images and non-text content
- Labels associated with all form controls
- Titles provided for embedded content such as videos
- Links in body text underlined for non-colour identification
Where We Fall Short
As a small team we are continuing to improve. Some areas of GlobiMail may not yet meet the standard:
- The signed-in application has received less attention than the public site and contains complex components not yet audited
- Focus indicators may not be sufficiently visible on all interactive controls
- Imperfect reflow at narrow viewport widths or high zoom levels
- Heading hierarchy may skip levels on some pages
- Third-party embedded content (e.g. contact forms) may have accessibility limitations outside our control
- No independent audit or formal conformance report has been commissioned
How to Report Problems
We welcome your feedback. If you encounter accessibility barriers, please contact us with "Accessibility" in the subject line. We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 business days.
